Acuency ("we", "us") provides AI-supported English practice and live tutoring tools. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it when you use acuency.com and related apps.

Depending on how you use Acuency, we may process:

• Account details (name, email, password hash via our auth provider)
• Profile data (country, native language, CEFR level, avatar)
• Lesson bookings, messages, shared lesson notebook content
• AI practice inputs/outputs and progress/stats needed to run the product
• Technical logs (IP, device/browser) for security and reliability

We use your data to:

• Create and secure your account
• Run AI practice, tutoring, scheduling, and messaging features
• Send transactional emails (confirmations, lesson reminders)
• Improve product quality and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data.

We rely on service providers such as Supabase (auth/database), Vercel (hosting), OpenAI (AI practice), Daily.co (video), and Resend (email). They process data only to provide their services under their own terms.

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us; some records may be retained where required for security, legal, or billing reasons.

You can update profile information in the app, request a password reset, and ask us to export or delete your data. Teachers and students only see each other's information when linked for tutoring.

Acuency is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use means you accept the updated policy.
